I am a photographer of people and life. I love to document the story; the people, their character, the places, the emotion and antics. Below you will find information on...
There is something magical about a wedding; the anticipation, the ritual, a sea of your favourite people, and all the emotions and charm you could possibly fit into one relatively small space. I am a lover of genuine moments, connections between people and magical light. These things are in abundance at weddings. I take a documentary approach for 90% of the day. I will do a mixture of candid and posed shots during the bridal portraits, and from time to time I may get you to "hold that for a moment" but otherwise, you will get to go about your day uninterrupted, allowing me to document the genuine moments and provide pictures that bring back the memories of the day. I love the opportunity to travel and photograph different parts of the world; so if you aren't based in Darwin, don't hold back!
If you visit the home page of this site, you can peruse many wedding galleries. Some of my recent favourites are Bron + Tom, Bex + Tom, Amy + Josh, Laura + Adam, Sophie + Scotty and Emily + Liam.
Please note: I only have limited availability for weddings and take them by special request. It is really to easy to bribe me with an outback station wedding, a church full of character, the top of a mountain, a broken down shed, a lone tree in a desert, a historic building, the forest or anything else along these lines. I am interested in travelling far and wide to capture the story.
Fee is $3500 for 9 hours and includes a minimum of 500 digital photographs

Elopements have always been shrouded in mystery and romance to me. I recently had the pleasure of photographing one and I am head over heels in love with them. They tell a different kind of story. A fully fledged wedding is a story of the worlds of the bride and groom coming together, overflowing with people, traditions and antics. An elopement is much more relaxed and simple. It is just about the couple; their friendship, love, and the adventure they picked to tie the knot. The documentary reflects one continuous story between the bride and groom, and the memories they shared on their wedding day.
The best thing about an elopement is that you can pick any kind of adventure. You aren't constrained by venue size or logistics. If you want to hike a mountain, drive to an abandoned farm or dive into an old ship wreck, you can. I would love to come along for the ride.
Prices start at $2500 and include all photographs.

The best reason to take professional photos is to capture memories, and what better place to do this than amongst most of your worldly possessions, and doing the activities and rituals that you would ordinarily do. An in home documentary sessions will capture the chaos, energy, emotion and fleeting moments of peace that define your family life. This approach is perfect for families, newborns and maternity sessions. If you don’t think that your house or back yard is good enough, let me be the judge. Finding magical light is my favourite past time and I am yet to be defeated. However, I am also up for documenting an adventure to another part of your town; the beach, to your favourite food van or even a day trip to Litchfield. If these are the things you do as a family, they might be worth using as a backdrop to get some genuine and magical family pictures.
The idea of an in home documentary session is to document the day to day. There is a lot of beauty, and genuinely brilliant moments that will unfold during the course of you carrying out your daily rituals; cooking, playing games, going for a picnic or swim, bathing or putting the kids to sleep, hanging out the washing, sitting around the lounge room, having a beer on the deck....... you get the drift? All these pieces are what make up the story of your life, at this point in time, and they make excellent photographs.
The price is $500 for a relaxed two hour session, including photographs.
