I bought a Leica M10 - to use my favourite lens.
I noted on this exact website that my kids and job keep me too busy to act on my whims. Yet, evidently, they don't. It is possible to think really deeply, make a decision, then call and place an order in less than 3 minutes. Limitations on time have merely made me really efficient with decision making. I credit some of this to the fact that I was driving at 130km/h at the time. I'm now resisting the urge to make terrible jokes about speeding up the thought process.
Today, I collected that sexy son of a gun from the shop. Then I dragged every bogan at the lights the whole way home from work, and then I dragged my daughter out of the bath and over into the burnt out scrub, to catch the last light. OK. I didn't drag her. I exploded into the bathroom and asked who wanted to go and get dirty instead of going to sleep. There wasn't exactly a shortage of volunteers.
And then I picked up a Leica for the first time in my life AND took a photo with it... 30 in fact.
Leica M10, VM Voigtlander 35mm 1.2 ii + me.... and the oldest of my two little muses.
I am enchanted with the magic.
Note: those last two B+W shots at ISO 6400. Incredible.
